Normal Carb was created as a repository for thoughts about diet, exercise, and health.
The science around diet and exercise is extremely noisy. It’s hard to create a coherent framework from all of that noise. The noise also creates divisions, with many choosing sides and fighting among themselves. For example, low-carbohydrate diets are back in vogue for weight loss after being eclipsed by low-fat and low-calorie diets for many years. Studies support all of these approaches to some extent. How can we reconcile the conflicting results and sort out the conflicting advice?
This blog represents a humble attempt at separating the signal from the noise. What makes sense? How can we connect the dots? What might work for you, and what might work for me?
